mine took over 6 weeks.
your focus on nitrogen cycle should be having zero ammonia and nitrite. Any level of either of those are completely toxic to fish.
you can speed the process up by adding biological supplements like microbacter7.
patience is very difficult at this stage in the game but if it were my first system i would probably even wait a week after the levels displayed safe just to be sure.
