How long has it had these? Did they both start at the same time?

This species is prone to hyperthyroidism (goiter) but the lesion on the left side is a bit too high up to be that.

It is probably there on a scale of weeks. Today i came after a week out. They used to spawn ragularly and stopped about half a year ago. No new fish were added so I agree it might be metabolic. He is eating and behaving normaly. If its hypert. how much radioactive Iodine to dose ?

Given the way they look and the time line, these are neoplasms, most likely a cancer. The fish may live quite some time with them, but they are not treatable.

Thanks. At leat they have a full life as a couple with quite a few spawns, good food (they dont eat dry food so its mussles and frosen).
