Need Tunze Wave Maker Advise !

I may be buying a nice, but used Tunze 7096 controller.

The tank I'm setting up is a 125g mixed reef and I'm wanting to purchase some used
powerheads. With Tunze having such so many to choose from, how many will I need
and which model number powerheads should I be searchingfor ?

With Maxspect's new Grye wave maker, it's hard to spend a lot of money on other brands of
wave makers out there, but I'm going to wait at least, several months to a year, to see
how they pan out. It also needs a nightime sensor or program !

But I trust Tunze products and want to give theirs a try.

So you experienced Tunze guru's, what do I need ?

Only the DC models are controllable, these include 6040, 6055, 6095, 6105, 6155, 6255. I would lean toward the 6095 or 6105 for a tank of this size, 6095 if you will focus on soft corals and LPS, 6105 for more SPS. Be careful with the 7096, the main issue is that if the former owner has it set up for Windows, it will not work on a Mac. The Windows update is a later generation of firmware that a Mac will not recognize. Also keep in mind that the 7096 is to be retired soon, the 7097 is expected in a couple months. All of the pumps have seen recent price drops, MAP for a 6095 is now $235, for a 6105 it is $285.

I really want the 7096, not the 7095. I also have windows on my desktop computer and Android on my notebook, so I should have it covered. Never had a Mac computer.
The 7097 will be too expensive, so I'm wanting the 7096 controller and pumps as to your suggestions.
