New Wyoming white meets potential Sebae wife? He just arrived. He’s quite small…I’ve never kept more than one clown before. How long do they usually take to get along if they decide they’re going to? The Sebae is being nippy and a tad aggressive right now.

If the Sebae doesn't eat the little one for lunch then it may put up with it until they figure it out. Has anyone crossbred Sebae with Perc?

Keep an eye on them. It may be a bond or a sebae sizing new fish up before attack.

Update II: he escaped the floating breeder box and is now trying to mind his own business at the very top of the tank. Big Sebae won’t venture up that far…why? because she’s moved into a nylon net as her makeshift anemone

I wrapped a small mushroom in it with the rock it fell off to hold it in place while it reattaches. It’s the nylon bag from a soft sided fry box. I didn’t want to cut it because I use it for cichlid fry often when I strip eggs. I guess big Sebae decided it makes a lovely abode and is defending it viciously!
