Alright at this point I had brought the stand and almost complete sump in after the baffles cured for a week

The 75 gallon looks preet awesome under the 120 stand. Turned out really nice, with straight caulk lines and straight up baffles.

OKAY, okay... so this is the part were the corian sump sock holder comes in. Corian is a material used to make countertops if tour interested in making these.

Went thru the same process with these holes as I did with the glass, but just used a regular hole saw instead of the diamond coat hole saw.

Next photo you will see the brackets already siliconed on the tank where the sock holder will rest.. also installed a piece of windows rubber to make an even tighter fit. The glass has just a slight flex it fits so tight.

Here it is installed on the second chamber of the sump.

Man did it ever take some time. Lol I think I started collecting parts in April of last year and got it ready for water by the end of October

For this build I chose the Synergy Shadow overflow box. This makes my second one and I love them, have had zero issues at all.

First thing you have to remember drilling holes for the synergy box.. If you have a rim, place the template (inside) arrows up. If you put the template outside your just gonna hate yourself when its over..Haha So this was me taping it inplace.

I use a sharpie to trace the inside of the holes once I get the template taped in. This will be a good reference for the next few steps

I always put tape on the backside of the hole to be drilled out. This and a towel underneath could save you alot of money.

I personally use the template as a hole guide. So I align the holes on the (Outside) of the panel to be drilled, with the template flipped upside down. This gives you more room to seal this baby up water tight.

This just shows all the tape I had used to try and keep water in. I do use a Corded drill so I do NOT use the running water hose method

These Synergy Shadows take a 2.5" diamond coated hole saw. This is the first time I use and exspensive Lennox bit, but I really liked how smooth it was.

This saws me starting both holes. I have heard the slower the better. I've also heard the father the better. For me its Full SPEED AHEAD.

Once I get the holes started i then remove the template and dam up around the started holes with plumber's putty.. Like i said the less water the less likely i am to get fried since i have a Corded drill.

Here it is at work. Your water will get milky looking.

This is a glass puck, if you use tape and a towel underneath to catch it your better off. Less likely to crack or scratch the front pane of glass

I then smoosh all the putty over to one side, fill with water and continue to drill

Now that both holes are drilled it's time to see if your hard work pays off. Mach up of the overflow box in full affect.

Once the overflow was drilled , time to drill the return line holes. I chose 1/2" dual.. But wish I had went with 3/4" returns. I used the template and made a template of my own so both return lines would be placed in the same spot on each side of the tank. Same process as above for the overflow. Tape, fill, drill.

Theres a little trick you can do.with polarized sunglasses to see if it is tempered. I definitely did this before I drilled. So I had a pretty good guess it wasnt

The holes came out great with little to zero blow out on the backside.

So this is the final product of the drill process. Washed it down due to all the white milky water left behind front the drilling process.
