Hi all.. I have a established Reefer 170 doing well. I bought a new Waterbox 50.3 and was thinking because they almost same water capacity , Should i use the old water from Reefer or just from scratch?

If you’re moving everything over imo I would use the tank water. Hope this helps
Other members will chime in with good advice

Id use new saltwater, unless the cost in sa is expensive.

To me, all the bacteria and beneficial micro organisms are on the rocks. Waste water is just waste water, it will be high in nutrients and low in trace elements. I would use new water myself.

I also think the sand and rock are more important than the water. I would use the water if it was convenient.
