Hey guys and girls,

Just joined and happy to be here, had a FW tank for a couple years with my girlfriend and after moving to Calgary in the spring have decided to take the plunge into the SW world. I have wanted to get into it for years and figured a good place to start was with a FW tank to get some of the basics down. And now here I am after recently bringing home a RSM C-130 and having it set up empty while I wait for a custom sump from Lifereef to arrive in a month or two. I figured I would join a community who could help me along the way and inspire my build as I go.

Welcome to R2R and the world of saltwater. Nice choice with the tank. Take this time while you wait for the custom sump to research and plan. Can't wait to see it come together. Good luck and happy reefing! :)

Wow lots of welcomes, Thanks everyone! and it was a long researched purchase on the tank side anyway (With ALOT of persuading the wife and a little luck with a C-130 with a tiny blemish in the glass about the size of a head of a pin, local store gave it to me for $400 off). But finally pulled the trigger on it and the sump *breaks a sweat*. So my great adventure can now begin. Looking for some good stock idea's now, was originally thinking 2 black and white clowns, a bi-colour dotty back and possibly a starfish or clam down the road. don't think there is really room for much else.

And the link to my build thread. unfortunately I'm kind of in a waiting stage waiting for the sump itself to arrive which probably won't be till February some time, debating cycling the tank anyways and adding the sump in to the system when it arrives
