New to Reef tanks and R2R

Hi, I'm Kat,
I joined Reef2Reef a few months ago and have been avidly learning from you!
It's been a while in the making, but I just set up my first reef tank this morning (well added the salt water, ready to start cycling)
The tank will be an educational tool as part of a coral restoration project that I have been running in on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica for 5 years, where we grow corals in ocean nurseries to late outplant to the local reef.
Eventually we will have SPS corals that are in transition to the ocean and a couple of fish. This has been a big learning curve and I had local help to set up the tank to this stage, and thank you for all the forum posts!
The tank is 50 gallons with a 30 gallon sump

Nicrew Lighting

I'm excited for this next stage, fingers crossed and apologies if my terminology is off, still learning!

Welcome to the reef. I discovered this forum as it seemed to always come up when I googled a question. Finally joined, then chose to become a supporting member and later a partner member to keep the forum available for others to come. My wife @Ocean_Queenie and I started culturing copepods and phytoplankton eventually selling some on here as a hobbyist.
