Hallo everyone.
I just started with the hobby a couple of month ago and bought a water box peninsula 25 mini and loving it.
I run without a skimmer because I am not able to find one that would fit in my tank. I read around that Tunze 9001 would fit but I am not able to find one here in Germany. they are always out of stock sadly.
i noticed lately that alkalinity ist somewhat low around 5.8 after a 5 day of water change using a Hanna Checker so I thought about doing all for reef after reading all the positive reviews but I have a really bad bloom from brown glass algae after 4 days from dosing.
I did a really intensive research and could not find anything in regards of skimmer and AFR.
do I need to run a skimmer while dosing AFR?
p.s. I am using Tropic Marin Pro Reef salt.
