Been reading for a while.im new to saltwater but I'm getting my brain wrapped around what I'm doing.i got a redsea reefer xl525.i didn't know I would need all the support equipment to run this tank.but I've bout got everything I want.just started getting my alk and MG under control.ive been reading a lot of stuff on here for pointers and would just like to say hi.

There is definitely a lot of reading available and a ton of knowledge. Always remember that many of those things are extras. They help you maintain or have a higher bio load but the basic tank, water and lights are the requirements. Make sure you address those first. Then add your contents slowly and add additional equipment last. Just like any opinion, someone may disagree but don't over do it right away and always try to buy what you actually need instead. Having to constantly buy better things over and over, like constantly upgrading your lights, is a waste of money. Save to always buy the right one the first time. I have run a 180g with packpack filters and compact floresenct lights.
