Alright so from what I can see everything everyone has said is 100% correct. But have you tested your phosphate levels?
And have you tested your calcium mag levels as well?
Get your water tested at your lfs
That's how I found out I had a faulty kit that was giving me better readings than I thought I had.

So it's probably a mix of everything.
Phosphates should also be less than .03
If they are at .2 that explains the algae growth as well.
Are you running any gfo?

Like I said it seems to be a mix of everything higher ammonia levels, phosphate, low salinity what I would suggest is doing water changes with higher salinity water to slowly bring it to balance. Also watch how much you feed, if you're not running chemipure I would also add that as it has properties that will remove phosphate and the carbon will keep the water clear.
