Not completely green too the hobby/lifestyle but its been about 10 years since I've had a tank and probably 12 since a saltwater.

30 gallon tall
Fluval XP Canister Filter
Macro Aqua M-50 Mini Protein Skimmer, 60 Gal
2x Aquaneat Powerheads (800 GPH)

I'VE NEVER DONE CORAL, but have grown a lot of plants and understand the value of watts which is why I'm about to ask this question....

I purchased the Nicrew 32 watt, 2 - channel timer, LED Light. It says that it is able to grow Soft Corals and LPS. (Still very new to the coral thing) The wattage seems low for coral growth but I purchased this light with the intent to keep my hood on my tank while getting started in some beginner corals. I have a 2 kids under 3 years old so I worry about things getting in the tank. What really has me worried is there isn't a spectrum of colors, just blue and white. Opinions?

Currently Running the lights on a light schedule with an hour sunrise/set
Blue 100%
White 30%

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time and opinions!
