Hey everybody, I have just found nitrate in my quarantine tank that is above 50.. I want to transfer my few fishes to QT for treatment because of whitespot.. So guys tell me should I add vodka in quarantine tank to reduce nitrate? Does it effect fish treatment in quarantine tank? Please let me know guys urgent.. Thanks

I would suggest a water change a larger one. As long as no ammonia isn't present should be ok with little nitrates.

yes, I agree with joker - I wouldn't add in vodka just use water changes to lower it and a little nitrates shouldn't be detrimental to your fish

A little late to this but I agree, nitrates are fine for fish in QT. Ammonia and nitrite are what you need to worry about. Keep up with the water changes and cleaning up any uneatten food and poop and you should be okay.
