I’m getting the no water sample error on my trident. The last time my reagents ran out I didn’t buy new ones right away so it sat unused for a couple months so I assumed the sample line got clogged. I put a new one on and I’m still getting the same issue. I took it apart and don’t see anything obvious. Any ideas on what I could do?

Fallow the sample line into the trident. Remove the small fitting. disconnect the sample line from the middle star. Also push the button on the valve to pull the tube out. Make sure nothing is in the tube. Get a test kit syringe and blow water thru it. Install in reverse order. Don't place the cover back on. Prime the sample line. See if the curvette starts to fill. If not, Check the line that leads to the curvette. Do the same, unplug flush with water and install and prime again. If not then the star is plugged. Might try blowing and sucking with a syringe.

All great advice from @Coolcasino. To add, I had the same issue and used the really fine point tip that comes in the Red Sea test kit on a syringe to blow the sample line clear. That was the easiest way I found to clear a clog in the line if that’s your issue.

I have found multiple times the issue to be the sample line glued itself together at the spot the pinch valve pinch’s if not used for a little bit. As already said have to press the button and pull line out and use syringe to push warm water thru it

I think this is why they have long term shut down procedure if you dont test for more than a couple days or it clogs.

i have nothing to add that the guys above havent. Just remove the lines and blow them out

Yeah the only thing I haven’t done is through the white tube. I blew air through it no problem but haven’t run a syringe through the white line yet

I appreciate the reply. What do I do if it does fill?

Yeah I take full responsibility for the issues I’m having. I realize that I messed it up. Just trying to get it back up and running

Then you found the clog and your good to go. Put it all back together.
No I mean it’s filling and still giving me no water sample. It’s filling with clear water too. Not one of the reagents. I think a sensor might be messed up

Then go thru every tube and make sure they are all free. If that doesn't work then it would be time to open a ticket with Neptune.

any of you guys have any experience with Neptune support? I sent them proof of purchase that it's less than a year old and still under warranty but they are asking for it again because they say it's more than a year old based on the serial number. I got it off of BRS on 11/26/21. Now they aren't responding after sending it a second time.

Just an update. They took about 48 hours to respond after responding very quickly every time before that but they did say it would be covered by warranty.

I feel your pain, but you just have to be patient. They are very busy and it’s possible they overlooked your email. I am the type of person who would rather speak to someone than type an email and wait for a response. They will make it right. I had an issue with my Trident that could not be resolved and mine was not under warranty anymore. They repaired and sent me a 2 month reagent with 2 new lines for free. Be prepared though it took a little over 1 month to get it back but that’s just the way everything is
nowadays.

What had me worried was they at first told me that it was no longer under warranty even though I had already sent them my invoice. I am also having them send me a refurbished one for a deposit that they will return once I send them mine in.

That is def a better option that I was going to do but after being told it was 200 deposit which would probably be refunded they sent me a quote for 325.00. Before I was able to get a response from them I ended up just sending mine in. They eventually did get back to me and apologize for the mistake but by then I already packaged up my Trident and sent in. This is why I prefer talking to somebody on the phone and hate email conversations.

That's kind of annoying. I wasn't told what the deposit was going to be. They just sent me a price for $325. I'm okay with it because I know there is no water damage that I'll get the deposit back but still
