It comes back almost the same place every day - if I clean the glass in the morning, it’s there again in the afternoon.

Tank is about 3 months, so could be new tank syndrome but I’m very curious as I have not seen this in my prior set ups. Glass dirty, sure, but this green film in a specific spot, nope. Looks like Phyto, but I don’t dose.

Any ideas?

Just FYI:

I use RODI water 0-1 TDS
Nitrate 5
Phosphate 0.04
AI PRIME at 60% across four first + white channels. 1.5ramp up and down. 6 hour peak. 9 total.

I have a tank 8 years old and clean the glass daily. Two other tanks not as old are the same. I just accept it as a daily chore. I'll go a coupe days sometimes but then it's really bad. Mine is definately from lighting because none grows under the power heads.

Yes, it’s not problem cleaning the glass, just wondering why that specific spot and what may be the root cause.

Lack of snails. Buy an urchin.

Actually I have a similar problem on the sides of my tank. No idea why.
I have a pretty diverse and size clean up crew. It’s limited what can be expected of CUC maintaining the glass - you should always expect to have to scrape it even with a clean up crew that goes hard on the glass. It just leaves trails, not a thorough cleaning.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
