I need help identifying these. I think they might be Nuclear Green's but I am not sure. And then, of course, are they a known palythoa to have toxins? They are beautiful and I love looking at them, but I don't want to be worried about the toxins.

Thank you for your help!

There’s so much info/misinfo I tend to just treat all paly/zoa like they have poison. Not sure on the name but they look nice.

Those are the really toxic ones...
Plus they grow like weeds, covering everything!
They’re a plague and you should probably avoid them

Mindblower palys and yes toxic, but do not worry about it unless you plan on cutting them. If you touch them just wash your hands good before touching your mouth or eyes.

Thank you for the ID help! Any suggestions on keeping them in check so they don't take over the tank? Specifically killing the ones growing where they shouldn't? If I manually remove them, they will release their toxin right?.

love them! Just be respectful. Don't do anything to them that can cause them to aerosol. cooking, bleaching, cutting, eating. keep them on their own island away from the main structure.

Thank you all! I am still looking for suggestions on eradicating them from unwanted places in my tank on rocks I can't remove. Any suggestions welcome. :)

Ideas...

Take away their light by covering them with rock, bury them.
Cover them with reef putty.
Box them onto a single rock and when they grow near the edge razor them off.
Take them out, and with gloves/eye protection, razor blade the section you want to remove (slice the mat they grow on) and chisel off unwanted portion at the cut, then throw them away.

They are pretty by the way, and these don’t look like the Superbad ones to me. Agree caution is merited, but it’s not like picking up a lion fish. Just be careful.

Oh yes these guys are toxic they slime like wild when i yank them out of the tank. Word of advice if you struggle to de weed your yard then you will struggle to deweed tour tank when these things run a muck. I made the mistake of taking a frag of them and now im waging war with them.

Has anyone tried kalk paste or aiptasia X on paly's before?
Ive tried aptasia x to no advil apparently there statement of not harming other corals is true. I was think of trying kalk myself. I have some hyperdermics laying around (girlfriend does surgeries at a animal hospital lol) may try directly injecting

Might want to run fresh carbon, if the paste does not work try vinegar. Good luck
