Anyone seen any orange crush colonies? the LFS has 2, both very nice, but pricey.. I forget though.. Just wanted to see what the going rate is on these...

I was able to score 2 4 polyp frags for 25$ last fall, before I bleached them. They have since come back and are thriving again.

True Orange Crush without other colors but orange on the body can be pricey and hard to come by. I am still hurting from this purchase :D

so If you dont mind, how much were some of the colonies posted? The ones at the LFS, have to be about 50 polyps and 6" in diameter.

curious.....is 'orange crush' just a name given to ANY acanthastrea species that has a lot of orange in it? or is there a specific species that can only really be called a 'true' orange crush??

in any case...here's my massive 'orange crush' (a. echinata) ;)

One of the best and brightest OC I have ever seen belong to Atlanticreef on RC, who has since been banned for some shady stuff. His was completely orange with green eyes. The Tyree Agent Orange is very much the same but but also have hints of pink on the body. The one I have is very similar to the Agent Orange with some of the pink actually in the eyes too. The rainbow will have greens and maybe other colors mixed in with the orange on the body. The eyes can be different colors also.

Here are couple of examples of rainbow acans

Those are some nice shots, Kenny.

Thanks. Don't know if you are into Acans but I just fragged the colony in the lower pic. Do you want a couple of heads when I ship your frags out? It's actually a very nice piece. The eyes are purplish, which didn't really come out in the photo.

I love every kind of coral (not as much on leathers, but they all have their place). That said, I'd love a piece:).
