I am adding a protein skimmer to my tank and while I am struggling with pH, I very much like the idea of reducing organics in my tank.

If you guys have to start from this point, which route would you rather take?

I use a CO2 scrubber but it is not a very effective solution. .1 to.2 pH bump for me. Ozone has a level of danger that most reefers don’t want. Although BRS reports success using it on a timer.
I would always recommend fresh air and Kalkwasser.

I already dose via kalkwasser (via ATO) and not seeing a vast improvement (a slow .1 each top off) which is why I was looking for alternatives. I thought the CO2 scrubber would be give a better bump but I guess not. Maybe I'll stick to kalk and then go with a 30 min ozone dose every night.

Thanks for the guidance.
