Is it bleached out? So much blue light there its hard to tell what color/pattern it has. My guess would be large button polyp, but a more accurate color pic will help, if you can get one.
White with neon green overtone. That is the best pic I can get. Would love to figure out how to get the blue out of my pics. Updated that pic with one with atintics off. I think it is my 14K bulbs making everything so blue but to the naked eye my tank is not that blue..got me stumped.
I have found that with my camera and 14k MH that the closer you get with the macro mode the more blue it is.....I moved some stuff farther back in the tank and then use the macro mode and the blue is less noticeable.
These are over time... I got these from a guy in Bangor and they were bleached completely white and pretty much closed for business- they were halfway up his rockwork under 10k MH. I got the frag of 3 for $25 I think last summer.
They are starting to green up now, but jeez, it took all year long almost...
laurie I have the original colony of the grandis in your picture-put them in the shade somewhere and they will turn green with purplish centeres. I think you have them in to much light.
Yeah, after you were over I stuck them under some halimeda and that's when they really started to color in the centers. Post a pic of your colony! Would be cool to see where Bryan got them from!
Here is a update pic of mine it has added a 2 more polyps.I am getting 1 a month now.I had it in high light for a few months and just moved it lower this week.It lost some color up high. If you look close you can see the new one on back side.
