I am having a hard time locating his DIY post for this but I saw the recent one about using an RO membrane. Hopefully have one in a couple months when I switch it out on my unit. Until then I just wanted to ask the community if they see these two products presenting any issues in my sps tank to make the feeder.

Also attempting to build one of these how did your go?

Would vinyl tubing be ok to use in the tank as I am having trouble sourcing PVC or acrylic in my area.

Vinyl tubing would be fine. I got my pvc from home depot. Also the rodi mesh didn't work for me. Stocking worked much better

I got a plastic 1 oz container and drilled a hole in the lid. Stretched stocking over it and used super glue to keep it in place. Put a magnet in the base so it will stay in place in the back wall and I won’t have to reach my hands into the tank to mess with it. Little dude was pecking at it within 15 mins of adding it to the tank so I think I was a bit lucky on that front.

Every two days or so. I have noticed a slight issue with my phosphates since adding it to the tank. They went from .1 to .22 since adding it. My phosphates typically flux between .05 and .15 through out the month. I test them twice a week. So I can’t blame it directly at this point but I am removing it for a week to monitor and see what happens.
