I was thinking of setting up a 20 long planted with planty of macro algae. But I want the algae to look nice but also function as a food source for my tang (the tang won't be in the 20 long), and other herbivorous fish. I don't know much about planted tanks, or the plants themselves. So what I need to know is which plants are the best for what I'm looking for?

I grow Red Dictyota, AKA "Red Y-branch" (Nitophyllum) in a separate tank to feed to my Powder Blue, who loves it.
