Please help. Ato malfunction salinity went from 1.025 to 1.023

Please help. Acropora reef. Salinity went from 1.025 to 1.023 in 2 hrs due to ato malfunction. I plan to let the water evaporate naturally and return to 1.025. Tank is 225 gallon reef. Think my acros will all die ?

I think your corals shound be fine and letting it go back through evaporation is a good plan.

While you're awaiting salinity to come back naturally...have you figured out how the ATO malfunctioned so you can get a new failsafe in place?

Yes. It was my fault not the equipment. All fixed now.

You should be okay. Don't sweat it.

Many of our corals are shallow water stock. And when it rains in the tropics, well it pours. Low tides and excess runoff can bounce salinity around pretty good.
