Not unless you have an enormous amount of evaporation, in which case you should just get a better lid. It shouldn't be putting enough new water in to change anything, and even if it did, fish and corals don't mind a slow fluctuation of a degree or so.

I heat mine when I want a cup of tea, but otherwise I figure it’s just like a rainstorm in the tropics with the ocean being warm and the falling rain a slight bit chilly when it hits the ocean.
