Foods and Feeding - Vegetable fare, fresh and frozen herbivore food, marine algae, Spirulina, zucchini, broccoli, leaf lettuce, dried seaweed. Feed min 3 times a day.
Reef Compatibility - If under fed may nip at stony corals and soft corals.
Captive Care - Most aggressive member of the genus and family, will fight with members of its own kind and other tangs, keep only one per tank. Should be the last introduced to a community tank, do not keep with other Surgeonfish unless the tank is large with plenty of room for all, a diet of vegetable fare is a must to keep coloration and ward off head and lateral line erosion, browses on filamentous micro algae and small flesh macro algae.
