When is Ramadan? They are from the Red Sea so certain holidays interrupt supply. They are going for 150-300 when I do see them available. They have become expensive enough that a lot of the stores around me don’t want to risk having one sitting on the shelf, without a customer already lined up.

We just had a bunch of them come into town (half a dozen or so) yesterday. They're definitely around. They're around $150-170 for a "medium size" small purple here in Arizona.

I believe that they are becoming harder to come by. My LFS usually has a pretty good order list every week or every other week (with some very nice items on it) but have not seen a purple on the list in quite some time. I managed to pick one up the weekend before Thanksgiving at a pretty good price. A beautiful 6" that would retail anywhere from $250-400 depending on who's selling it. From a customer that frequents the same LFS that was getting out of the hobby

**EDIT** And I know what it feels like to want one and not be able to find one. I've wanted a Purple since I got in this hobby and could not find one (at a reasonable price). I really didn't have the money in the budget for the one I just bought, but I knew I would regret not buying it as I probably wouldn't see another one for quite some time

I’m seeing them all the time up in Canada and they’re usually going for roughly $100-125 Canadian dollars

Thanks for the replies...I was considering buying on line, but that price!!! WOW! I think I'll just keep an eye out in the stores.

Nyaquatic typically has them cheap. Said he will soon. I got two for $50 each from him about a year ago. They are a great pair today. Don’t do this tho.

I got mine from NY Aquatic. They just never popped up in any local stores. It was small, and $80 plus shipping. Still pricey, but best price I am seeing anywhere.

Both were about 2 inches.
Very healthy looking and eating within 30 minutes of QT.

I recently went looking for a purple tang.
My local stores all had them near $200 each, so I looked online.
I finally picked up a 2" one at live aquaria.
With sale prices and a 20% coupon I got one and 2 mini maxi anemones for $164.

Ate right away and out and about and very curious in quarantine tank.
