Recently I picked up 3 nice healthy fat fish from a fellow reefer that is moving.
1. One Spot foxface
2. lieutenant tang
3. Blue eye kole tang

Anyway, I have had them in QT for just over a week now with no treatment except metro and focus mixed in their food. They are all doing great and eat like pigs. No signs of ich or anything else.

My question is: Would you go ahead and treat just in case or just observe for 4-6 weeks.

I have cuprimine, prazipro and paraguard..etc and have used them all before successfully.

I am just trying to decide if I want to treat or just observe them.

What would you do?

With tangs I would always treat rather than observe. I use tank transfer method. Depends on how much risk you're willing to take

I would personally only prophylactically treat using tank transfer (and Prazi of course!). Otherwise, just QT and monitor.

How long did the other reefer have them?

If the other person had them in his system for more than a month and had no problems, and he can prove it, I would add them to my system.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
