After years of wanting a saltwater tank I finally broke down and purchased a 75g tank\stand combo. I am currently 11 days into cycling my tank and regret not painting the back side black. Am I still able to paint the back with a roller or would that be to risky?

#WelcometoR2R!!! If you take the necessary precautions to keep any paint and cleaning solutions out of the tank (e.g., covering the top with plastic bags, etc.) then you should be okay. Additionally, clean the glass surface well and add several coats of paint. Good luck!

As long as you get no paint in the tank there shouldn't be a problem. Just have windows open and blow the fumes out the window

Awesome thank you for the fast reply. I may test painting the QT tank in the same room just to make sure the ventilation is up to par. Would you recommend Turing off the ceiling fan?

Windows open, cover all the open areas that can get a paint splatter in, and paint it. You will be fine just like this hobby take your time with painting it.

I don't think the fumes will really do anything as long as you have ventilation
