Hi all ,I'm looking for some advice on good return pumps and skimmers for an on going reef room project.

After leaving the hobby for a couple of years I'm hooked again but the equipment choices are endless.

I only have experience with bubble magus skimmers and I loved them return pumps and wave makers I used jebao with no problems.
My LFS does not stock jebao as they had to many returns and not good quality, so I got TMC reef skin 300 ,TMC return pump ,and hydor wave makers for my display tank over all I'm not blown away with TMC products.

What make and models of equipment is recommended for / long term use / value for money /good quality

Cheers guys/gals

welcome RWJ... Need more info for anybody to help you. What size tank? what will the head pressure be? How many GPH do you want the return pump to push? return pump will be internal or external? Etc.

Thanks acer it is a tank rack with 6 aquariums on it to a sump ,volume will be 250L , head height is 5'9 ,return is hard plumbed 3/4 pipe and the over flow is 1'1/4 pipe 1 line per 3 tanks.
GPH I'm open to opinions.
I would like the return pump to be internal.

I'll post some pics

Well since you like Bubble magus skimmers way not stay with them. Maybe a curve 7 will work fine for you

That's what I'm thinking does your curve pull loads of skim out compared to others?

My TMC is nothing like the bubble magus ,I'm always trying to dial it in ,get it going then a day later nothing !!!

Plus it lets out loads of micro bubbles some times

Yes although I do have a light bioload ( for the skimme) I running it on a 60 total gal system and I believe it's rated at 125 or so but no issues no problems

I've been using jebao RW series pumps for two years non stop with no problems. I put them on a JB wave controller because the stock controllers didn't give me the control I wanted. Could not be happier. For the money, can't be beat.

Also, you can't go wrong with reef octopus skimmers.

Welcome to R2R! I've been using Jebao pumps on and off for several years, I'm currently using a DCT4000 for my manifold, and have had good use from them. The new DCP pumps just came out as well.
