Yeah, I'm still getting the lay of the land out here...
Looking for a 60-65 Gal Cube (24x24x24, or 25x25x24T), can't seem to find in a price range I'm looking to pay.
Figured I'd make it myself, so I called a couple glass shops and I amazed at the prices of glass in this area, its obscene... $420+ for the glass with 2 holes pre-drilled and the bottom tempered. Tanks are going for $325 for a 60g cube...
I hear you...
Ridiculous prices for stuff these days..
I had a 65 gal Red Sea I modified a bit and I loved it. Corals grew great in it and it ran for years with no probs.
I got some ideas about a new tank but prices are killing those dreams..,
Yeah, I've been looking around, joined a few pages, but so far its pretty dead out here... I'll be out of town this week/weekend, but when I get back we should collaborate on tanks and all.
Hope to see you guys there! our facebook page is where you fill find all the action, but the forums (LVMAS.com) are starting to pick up again if that's your pint of beer.
Just wanted to update this thread a little. There is one club in Las Vegas, called Las Vegas Marine Aquarium Society. Our website is LVMAS.com and LVMAS.org. We have a facebook page that it kind of revolves around as Forums are a thing of the past in the valley. We have monthly membership meetings at Seaquest Las Vegas, the first Monday of every month, at 6:30pm. If there is a change, it will be noted on the page/event/website.
