Recommended amount of phosphate to drop per day.

Hey guys so I usually like to keep my phosphates between .15 and 2.5 but They were up over .6. I have since brought them down to .50 over the past couple days using lanthanum chloride. I am dropping them because I saw better coloration at lower phosphates. As some of you know I had an incident where I dropped my phosphates from .5 to .2 over a day as well as a small DKH drop and thee balance of my tank was thrown off killing a Orange passion and creating stress to a pink floyd. I have since corrected my stability issue with my alk and have been dosing the Lanthanum chloride daily. I was wondering what is a safge amount of phosphate to drop per day using my method? Also where do you like to keep your phosphates at just curious . Happy Reefing
