So I recently started using the Red Sea Mg test... my question is about part C of the process. The syringe for part C has a tip on the end, screwed on to help with slow titration I guess. When I pull the liquid into the syringe there is always 1.5-2ml of air. None of the instruction videos I have watched address that but an additional 1-2ml is going to make a big difference in the test results.
I am guessing the titration tip on the syringe offsets this air gap, but I don't know. What have I missed?

I believe you go by the position of the plunger. Weather or not there's air in the syringe.

There is no such a thing as a "stupid" question. [emoji106]

Also, just want to add the air should be 0.15 to 0.20ml, the entire syringe is 1.0ml. That's air is equal to the volume of solution sitting in the plastic tip you add on to the syringe
A misplaced decimal would greatly affect your results!
