Hello everyone. I have bought bicolor angelfish a week ago. Everything seemed ok. But I noticed this and I think it is not good.
I have two clowns and bicolor angelfish in fluval evo 13.5 with corals.
I am new to this. Aquarium is 6 month old and this is my first experience with reef tank.
Water 78f, salinity 1.027, nitrates 5, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, 10dkh, phosphates 0.25, calcium 320.
I haven’t tried any medications so far.

This is likely injury and will require treatment in a separate quarantine tank treating fish with Seachem kanaplex and adding additional aeration with air stone and monitor water with quality ammonia test kit as these fish are sensitive to poor water conditions. Salinity is a little high likely due to evaporation and keep an eye on clowns which can be aggressive and territorial.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Unfortunately, that could be a protozoan disease known as Uronema. It is often mistaken for an injury. The big lesion is rounder than I usually see with Uronema, but the linear, small lesion on its left side looks more like it.

Does the fish show any other symptoms? Is it eating and breathing normally?

Here is an article I wrote about uronema:

Hi. Thank you all for your answers.
@LordofCinder, guys at lfs told it's ok if I will move it to the bigger aquarium later.
I really plan to get 50 -70 gallon tank as soon as I find a place for it in my apartment.

@vetteguy53081 They all look peaceful and angel is twice bigger than my clowns and it was hiding in a very tight spots between the rocks a couple of days. I plan to move it somewhere but I don't know how fast I can get another tank to quarantine it. I've read about a way to administer medications by binding with food so it won't hurt my corals. Any chance I can do it with kanaplex?

The binding you read of is metroplex and problem is you cant just drop it on food. It has to be precise at .5 gram weight which is a super tiny amount. Ruby Rally pro may also work but will take longer to have effect. Same with chloroquine phosphate- must be precise if used but also will work

Thank you, Jay. It seems it behaves like a normal fish. I feed them brine shrimp and he eats it with a good appetite. He swims around the tank and eats algae during the day. Breathing is normal. I was able to capture more clear photos and it seems it’s getting worse

How long does it usually take? I plan to buy small bucket but not sure if it can survive there for a long time.

Yes - the spot on its left side has grown larger. At this point, I think you need to treat with an antibiotic in a treatment tank. It could still be Uronema, but there really isn’t an effective treatment for that, so better to just go with an antibiotic - broad spectrum, gram negative like Neoplex or Kanaplex.
If you don’t have a treatment tank, you options are limited. You could try antibiotics in a heated/aerated bucket of water, going with double the dose for two hours, twice a day.
