I'm a long-time fan of GHL products and especially the GHL ProfiLux line of controllers.

I'm setting up my Waterbox 150.4 and I have acquired several RedSea items (Reefmat, DC7000 return pump, DC 600 skimmer, ReefWave 45's) which obviously will work via RedSea's "ReefBeat" eco system. I'll be running a pair of GHL 7206 Mitras lights over this tank.

Is anyone else running Red Sea products and the Profilux on the same system? Seems almost silly to add a Profilux to a RedSea EcoSystem but I honestly feel like I want to do it. The Profilux would be the Master Controller (off/on functions mostly) and the ReefBeat would do the "fine" controls of those items.

I have Red Sea reefer 250 and use GHL P4, GHL dosers, Mitras lights and KH director. I also use P4 to control the heater.

For return pump I use Maxspect Jump pump (used Vectra S but it decided to pack it in). For tank flow I use VorTech MP40 and Gyre 330. I use Royal Exclusiv Bubble King skimmer.

Seems almost silly to add a Profilux to a RedSea EcoSystem but I honestly feel like I want to do it.
Not such a silly thing not to use RedSea Ecosystem.
Most of Red Sea items are repackaged systems from other companies (Maxspect, Sicce etc..).
Red Sea offers the reef beat integration and some might find that worth the price.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm a huge fan of GHL products. I'm running (currently setting up) a WB Infinia 150.4 and have a pair of GHL Mitras 7206's over it. Everything else (almost) is ResSea branded:
  • DC7000 Return Pump
  • DC ReefSkimmer 600
  • ReefMat 500
  • ReefWave 45 (2x)
  • Inkbird WiFi Dual Heater Controller

I have a GHL P4 Mega System sitting in the box ready to go but, at least at the moment, I can't justify adding it other than the "heater" redundancy at the moment.

Odds are I will eventually integrate the P4 into my setup, just because I know me LOL.
