Anyone have the new RK Elite? I am debating on the Elite or the Neptune PRO.

Please post your pros and cons for either.

Thanks

the new RK elite is riddled with problems right now, i wouldnt even think about them.

Check out profilux, they are the bomb.

you can talk to Todd over at cherry corals about them. The beginner packs are supposed to be nice. thats the one I'm looking at for my new system. Its awesome because the options are endless. So many add on available, and the computer interface is excellent. Ive played around with Todd's a couple times, and its really great.

As soon as Todd gets the beginner packs in I am going upgrade to a Profilux. There is just no comparison between Neptune, DA and Profilux.

I say Profilux-
It's a little more up front but everything works right out of the box..

*You don't have to pay for the software
*Upgrades are pretty much limitless
*The Temp Probe works flawlessly
*Build quality is second to none
*The amount of Tunze Control built in is awesome
*Customer support is great- although It sucks for me because I am banned from RC, but Todd & Michael are very fast at responding to e-mails.

The 1 thing I don't like about it-
RS-232: I don't have a pc w/RS-232 so I had to buy an adapter ($40) USB-->232 adapters are notoriously slow (if they work at all)
Profilux does have a USB adapter option ($80)
I feel that all US bound controllers should come without the RS-232, should be replaced with the USB option *STANDARD

IMHO

RKE- Buggy as heck (check the boards) Looks decent on paper but might want to wait a few months before purchasing

Yeah I looked at those as well. I just have to figure out if I really need to monitor and control all this stuff. I think I may just get a LM3 for dosing and stick with what I have. I can see how they would be cool though. Maybe when the dollar rebounds they will come down in price a bit.

I wonder if profilux will ever be able to control a vortech. It would be nice to just hit one button for feeding, instead of two. Maybe I am just lazy.
