So I have got my float switch to work after a day and a half
But the darn thing works in reverse...
I mean if I hold it upside down it does what it would normally do for everyone else who have one and hold theirs right side up

Arrrrrrrgh! lol
Can someone help me?

Hi all just chiming in again to say I realize now what happened.

To sum up briefly: The reason my float switch worked in reverse order was the foam float attached was installed upside down. This 'foam' sleeve has a magnetic ring inside it on one end,,,
the bar that the foam sleeve slides up anddown on has a sensor on the top and bottom, So it was all functioning in reverse, I removed the clip that holds the foam float from sliding completely off its track/rod then removed the foam flipped it over, placed it back on the rod and resttached the clip.

God what a waste of time that was,

Glad you got it figured out on your own.

Just an fyi, for future reference, many/most float switches are designed to be reversible like that on purpose. So, probably wasn't necessarily wrong, it just wasn't your intended setup.

Really comes down to your use, or even if you have the controller set up to read it in the open or closed state (I'm not familiar with your controller personally, so don't know if that applies to you).

All you have to do is change the programming to reflect the orientation of the float. Or, like Russ said, flip the donut part around.

While your here just thought Id let you know-

I have almost purchased the complete Reefkeeper Lite controller system ..
But what I truly believe would make this system 5/5 stars for me would be a
readout on the RKL module which showed the itemp, Salinity, Orp, Ph readings all in one line. I can't imagine
this would deviate very much from your existing code structure as it would essentially mean maybe adding a new class comprised of these other existing classes and programming it to fetch and read these on your existing lcd panel.
A refresh interval could be programmed to fetch this information maybe every
10 minutes or something like that and would make everything VERY convenient.,
Anyways please evaluate this inhouse
if it was feasable from a cost perspective and was implemented Im sure I and many other reefes who use your product would be extremely grateful and would continue spreading the good word on the Reefkeeper Lite aquarium controller system!
Yours respectfully,
L N.
