Does it make much of a difference once rust has already formed? I know there is a product I have used that "reverses" corrosion, and I would say that it worked pretty decently. But I'd rather prevent that try to reverse

I'm familiar with an automotive marketed product that 'reverses' rust...

agree prevention is better than reverse...

when the rust has eaten thru the metal, then 'reversing' becomes pointless
