Somthing I've been wondering as a totally hypothetical question.

My reef tank sits at 1.026 and let's say my ato reservoir is empty so my salinity raises to 1.028, what effect does this have on all of the major and minor elements?

As I understand it all majors and minors are affected by the salinity of the water. Is this the case?

Everything rises by a factor of 28/26 = 1.077. So 420 ppm becomes 452 ppm. ORP and pH will not change this way, and dissolved Gases like oxygen won’t either.
