I've been using Bio-Actif Meersalz/Sea Salt for a month now and every time i mix a bucket the RO water turns from crystal clear to a tan water color. I never got this type of water coloration with Red Sea Reef Pro Salt. Why is this happening could it maybe be a bad batch? All ive heard is great things about this salt[BRS] but never heard about the tan coloration. If anyone has any info on this i would appreciated.

Might be a bad batch. Guess you would have to send it I’m for ICP testing to know.

The good thing is that it hasn't change my reef tank at all, meaning for the worst. Everything is still thriving.

Do you use a power head to mix it up? What is your process?

I have a hang on the back filter that hangs on the bucket and filters the water and provides water movement. I also mix with just a power head and I got the same result.

Just got out off the phone with them and they say it's completely normal due to the type of salt that I have. It requires bacteria in my tank to activate the bio polymer that's in the salt and that makes the water Cristal clear Which the water is Cristal clear after I add it to the tank. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT COMMENTED ON THIS.

I thought so as mine is slightly discolored. Rather than answering that, I thought it was best to contact them. I knew they would answer as they always do. JUST GREAT PEOPLE WITH GREAT SALT !!
