I'm thinking of this tank but am on a bit of a budget. How much do you think you've spent on this tank and do you think I can start a tank build like this for about $1 300 CAD???
I would 100% agree with this.To be honest i would delay your setup date and keep buying componets as money allows
Thats a tough question.. if i had to guess i would say a i'm over 2k into this setup. But there are many areas you could save some money. Mainly the tank controler and accessories. But i can say that now that i have had a tank with a controler, i will never run a tank again without one. To be honest i would delay your setup date and keep buying componets as money allows. Maybe someone else can chime in on this..
I also got some more tank shots and will post them tonight.
I would 100% agree with this.

On a hardware note, I decided to finally swap out that green 1" return tube. I hard plumbed it 95%, and used about 8" silicone tubing. I think it looks much better. I also got my fuge light (JBJ Nano GLO) installed. I'm going fill the fuge with live rock and chaeto.

More to come...
Do you have pictures of this?I have the same tank. For the sump, I pulled the center divider out and run it backwards. It gave me more room to put a reactor and more water volume. I switched out the return pump for a Jebao DC. That pump drove me crazy with the vibration noise. The skimmer works good enough, but I'm a believer of not over skimming the tank.
