Seeing a post you had elsewhere that stated the power trucks were on your street about ten hours ago, I was hopeful you'd have power by now. I know it's a trip for you, but when you're up and ready, you are welcome stopping buy and taking whatever extras I have to help restock the corals.

Thanks Paul! :) I was quite hopeful when I posted that. There were seven trucks on my street but they didn't get the power back on. There is a huge entourage nearby in a staging area. There are crews from as far away as Chattanooga, TN. I'm hopeful it comes on today. According to the electric company, they say it should be in by noon.

Seahorses were not impressed with the water change. They just wanted their mysis!

Phew! Glad you finally got power and the horses made it! We've been having storm after storm the last few days.

O my goodness Krista, I just got caught up on the power outage! I too have battery back up aerator pumps and an inverter. It seems that carried you through the ordeal?
I never got a generator because you need to fire them up every 3 months to keep the seals lubed and I knew I would not do that.

I really think what saved the seahorses is that I don't have corals in their tank and I have macroalgae. The inverter helped as well. I did have two battery operated pumps that worked for a bit and then stopped working. I had them for a few years, but they were only used once.
