Hello there,

So I just bought 35 pounds of dry ARK Shelf Reef Rock to assist in reacaping my tank. The rescape is necessary because my left rock formation is unstable and might fall apart and crack the glass.

What I’d like to do is gently remove this unstable rock, and use the new shelf rock to create a more stable Aquascape with hiding places. I plan on keeping the my current rock wet with spray bottles and cups of water while completing the new Aquascape.

My question is should I cure/cycle the dry shelf rock before incorporating into my new Aquascape? All feedback is appreciated, thanks!!

Andrew

This is great feedback, thanks. Quick question- how did you attach your new rock (glue, epoxy etc). Or did you just stack?
