We have a unique situation, we adopted my father in laws 20 year old live rock and (11 anemones)!!!!! This is our fist tank, a 180 gallon. The right half is live rock and the middle to left side is Marco rock broken down and restructured. Only 3 months old, still a lot of room to grow!

Still looking for ideas to scape my 200DD, and want to see more scapes to "inspire" me. Post up your scapes you think look awesome. I still like the "bonsai" inspired ones, but anything is welcome.
I have my first 55 high Reef system since Christmas . First had salts 40-plus years ago but was FO. I searched as many Aquascape pictures as I possibly could to get ideas . I had a piece of cardboard the size of the base and worked from there.

Put this scape together for an 180 gallon build.
80Lb of Marco Rock Foundation and 90Lb of Shelf.
Artistic scape... what did you use to glue the rocks?
Really like the flat rocks, where did you get it from or did you build it yourself? Thanks.

I will be going with a minimalist type scape for my new SCA 150 Rimless build. I had a custom pcs made for my center showpiece where I will be adding most of my SPS corals.. Also, I will be filling in the tank with around 75lbs lbs of some old school Marshall island and Tonga branch live rock that i saved from my old build to make some overhangs and caverns... More to come.

Some amazing scapes in this thread!
My tank is no where near as large as the 200DD, but I’m a fan of the “old school” two island look. For the record it was very new school a couple years after I started the hobby. Here’s the scape I started in my current WB 180.5

I thought I would share my tank with everyone, here is my 180 gallon reef tank. I’m in the process of stocking, both fish and coral go through strict qt procedures so it takes quite some time before I get to add new members to the reef, hope you all enjoy! My new build November 2020, 84x34x27
IMG_2852.jpeg

Used E-Marco-400 Cement and covered cement seams with sand. Used a flat base piece to build from and supported structure with rock piles during cement curing. PVC for height reference.

Plywood the size of the tank foot print to plan out the scape

Beautiful scape... may I know where you sources the different type of rocks? And what method/technique you used to glue them to strongly stay in place?
