So this is the first tank I’ve done with dry rock, Marco to be specific.

Is there any benefit to soaking in ROdi for a while (removing phosphate etc) or should I just carry on filling it for the leak test?

Thanks

test the water and see if there is Phosphate present? Coral skeletons and old live rock and mined coral often have small amounts present.

Alkalinity often is aborbed with new rock as it "cures". I wonder if adding baking soda would help speed up the mineralization processes that occur?

I’ve not salted it so test won’t work unless I get a freshwater one…
I’ll likely fill it and test pipe work and then drain it and refill anyway tbh as can’t hurt right?
Although took nearly two days to half fill so far so might just salt it haha
