Scientific name - Epinephelus cyanopodus

Common name - Speckled Grouper

Size - 39" (99 cm)

Min. Aquarium size - 240 US Gal. (908 L)

Foods and feeding - Marine fare for carnivores, marine fish, crustacean flesh, feed 2-4 times a week.

Reef compatibility - Dines on ornamental crustaceans and fish tank mates.

Captive care - Acclimates well to captivity, needs plenty of uncluttered swimming room. Will greedily accept chopped fresh or frozen seafood's, other frozen preparations, freeze dried krill, can keep more than one in an extra large tank but prone to fight if crowded, will eat any fish it can swallow whole, will place an elevated stress on filtration systems, this fish can grow 12 inches a year, filtration system must be adequate to handle this large bio load.
