Does the name "pink lemonade" simply refer to a color scheme or a specific aquacultured lineage?

It refers to a specific lineage coral. Check the story, it's kind of interesting

Limited Editions Pink Lemonade Acropora

Very interesting, especially the part that states that this coral's color has morphed twice over the long time it has been aquacultured. I don't think anyone would guess that the three pics at the bottom of the article are the same coral.

Thanks for the info!

Great story! One of my faves. :)

So shades of fall and pink lemon are the same? They look so different though.

Interesting read. I have the original Tyree one and for me it tends to be a medium to fast grower and not slow as they suggest.

There's a BUNCH of frauds out there. You may want to check your lineage. I bought a bogus one once here in Dallas and didn't figure it out until it grew larger. I since replaced it with the real one.

This is one of my favorite corals. I just wish the pink would show more on mine.

No...if you read the lineage there were two acropora from two different sources being farmed as pink lemonade. The second pink lemonade acro's name was changed to atlantis shades of fall acro. They both held the same name for a while but are different acro's.

Pink Lemonades tend to encrust for awhile before they begin to grow upwards. I had a nice mini colony but lost it. I just replaced mine and can't wait till it starts to grow upwards again!
