Such thing as a 1/4 tubing quick disconnect?

I'm looking for a sealing quick-disconnect for 1/4" poly tubing. I want to use it between my ATO reservoir and sump, which is gravity fed. I want to take the reservoir away from the tank to fill it up.

I see 1/4" quick disconnects that have barbed ends, which doesn't really work with poly tubing. And of course there are lots of quick-connect fittings out there, but I don't think those are really meant for frequent disconnections - and they don't have a sealing valve inside to prevent leaks when disconnected.

Any ideas?

They do make dry break fittings too but easier to just put a valve inline.

Poly tubing is too stiff to fit on those barbed connections.

You can heat it and it will work. They do not work well in systems with low pressure though.

That’s what I use in front of quick connects on my culture tanks. They get turned off and popped off for cleaning every month or so for last 5+ years.

Should last for years, hundreds of disconnects. Mine have.

They might... But what is at the other end of the blue tube? If it just sits freely in the sump, you could put a valve on that end and remove the ATO with it still attached.
