Talk me through fragging Favites and Porites!

These are what I have to work with. I do not want to sell these frags without keeping some of them. How can I go about fragging these off the plugs?
we dont have a band saw or a dremel, i have a collection of different metal cutters that we use for fragging euphyllias but dont know how well it would work. I also dont want to risk killing them so if they need a band saw/dremel please let me know.

And if anyone can tell me how to frag Pectinia i would be very thankful. We have 3 space invaders at the moment And I want to keep atleast half of one if possible to make a colony.
I currently have one of the favites on a rock so it can spread off the plug but dont know how long that will take

In my opinion, I would let them grow. Those are really small. I would cut the stem of the plug and glue them to a 3x3 tile and let them grow on to that naturally. Once they grew on to that and they were overtaking the tile is when I would cut the tile into 4ths, putting each of the 4 frags onto a new tile. I would also use a coral cutting saw to accomplish this.

Tricky without a band saw. Even a Dremel may be too messy.

Cant speak for favia but for porites, here’s my advice if you are not in a rush to frag it. As there is still some space on the plug, glue a dead sps branch (preferably monti digi, or seriatopora) and let the porites encrust. As porites love going upwards, they’ll encrust the dead skeleton. If you want faster growth I suggest stronger water flow and mild dusting of small particulate food. That may help. These branches will be easier to snip of with just regular bone cutters.
Here’s an example of mine.

The yellow porites has started encrusting on the seriatopora hystric branch.

The green has fully encrusted over an acropora branch, but it has definitely thicken after some time as I didnt frag it and let it grow.

Thank you for this awesome avice! I stuck them on some sacrificial egg crate for them to encrust over but i will try this instead since that id tanking forever lol! The favites are already encrusting the crate but not the porite
