Okay so just went to rap and got 3lbs of Tampa bay live rock to help seed my new tank! I got one rock to put into my display with some macro algae and a few rocks to stick in my AIO return chambers.

These rocks have tons of life!!! Some coraline sponge and various other things. Now will adding the 2.5lbs or so of rock into my return chamber kill off the coralline or should it be okay?

Will get some pictures up right before I add them to the tank in a bit.

I want to do this but my boyfriend is too scared of getting the “bad stuff”‍♀️♀️
Eh honestly not too bad imo. I did have a Welk but that’s an easy catch! Plus I decided to put it all in the return section of my AIO and the rock with macro on it gets spill over light so should survive!

Ah, I might have to consider that since I have an aio I need to set up!

Great to meet you at RAP! Friendly porcelain crab there.
BTW, I should have grabbed more @LiverockRocks stickers from your booth! My son confiscated mine!

So what was the official number of rocks in the jar for the contest?!
Happy to send stickers, DM or email shipping address.

Stand by for the number and winner/s to be announced this afternoon.

Added the crab into the tank and he instantly disappeared into the aquascape. Here’s to hopefully seeing him later when he gets bigger!

Also found some interesting things last night after lights out! Copepods galore and then seen this weird thing crawling up the back of my AIO chamber. It stuck on like a mollusk of some sort and looks like a bi valve but was inches away from any rock and was moving! The shell in the middle I’m not sure of but it’s got a red foot!

Hi there,
Whelk - get it out
Red macro - good for fish snacking or refugiums
Bivalve - great filter feeder, looks like small jewel box clam
Check out TBS hitchhikers HERE.

@Jesse Sunday
1608 was the number of rocks in that tiny raffle jar. We do have a single winner who guessed 1600!
