I plan on getting a blue tang, yellow tang, and a raccoon fish along with a pufferfish don't know what type yet but I like the Porcupine puffer. What tank size would I need? How do I take care of them? What fish should I avoid as a beginner? I want this tank to be a fish-only tank.

If you don't have the tank yet, I would go with a standard 180 (6x2x2) at the smallest.

Some puffers get ridiculously big as well, so I'm just going by the tangs and racoon.
I second that THE BARE MINIMUM for a few of those fish at adult size especially together is a 180 unless you take great care to make special considerations and really go above and beyond to care for them. Puffers especially outside Toby puffers and blue tangs should really be in 6 foot tanks more often than not. You will see occasional smaller success stories, but they're the exception not the rule

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
