Hi there i have been pondering building my own 24" cube , i have my base built got a skimmer got a refugium and a 60cm metal halide with 2 T5s so really i have everything but the tank :p. Ihave been looking at some quotes about $300 your money and about £160 my money and i am on a tight budget , so i have been looking at some plans and it looks very straight forward the one thing i am not sure of is when you start to build one do you stick the front back and sides on top of the base when building ?? . I have found some instructions here http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/BuildAnAquarium.html

thanx for looking your thought and advice would be most welcome

BTW if i build 1 myself the glass 10mm would only cost £44 or about $90 so that is a big saving plus aquarium silicone

my advise is to spend the money on a real tank now and avoid all the time and problems you might have later.
